Sales of Freesat+ equipment up 175%
The up-market high street retail chain, John Lewis, is reporting rising sales of digital TV set-top-boxes, in fact it is the higher end set-top-box that the store chain reports is moving.
Sales of Freesat+, the digital recorder version of the free-to-view satellite service, are up by as much as 175 per cent on the year and in fact are growing at a rate of 23 per cent week-on-week.
This comes as John Lewis takes stock of the new Sagem Freesat+ digital recorder, which offers a choice of 250 Gb and 500 Gb hard drives, easy to use navigation menus and auto set up.
The Sagem Freesat+ will cost around £250 for the 250 Gb version and £300 for the 500 Gb version.
